Disability - Karate

At JKS we work closely with local groups providing two specially designed classes for members of the community with a learning disability. The classes were initiated after talks with ourselves and Anna Capon of Fife council who is the community support co-ordinator for fife. Our aim is to offer the opportunity to learn basic skills and techniques of JKS Shotokan Karate. Each student receives a free karate uniform on enrolling. Below are some of the members from the two classes.

Entrance into these classes are by booking only and dependant on availability. If you are interested in enrolling then please contact JKS Reception on number below.

Each class costs: £3.00

Active Schools

JKS Health & Fitness are extensively involved and working alongside Active Schools to deliver karate and other fitness sessions to the community. Below are some class pictures from our 2011 recent karate programme within the Woodmill cluster. A huge thanks goes to Roger Arnott of Active Schools and the Carnegie Dunfermline Trust who have financially supported this initiative and made it possible.
